1980 MGB Limited Edition
The MGB is a two-door sports car manufactured and marketed from 1962 until 1980 by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), later the Austin-Morris division of British Leyland, as a four-cylinder, soft-top sports car. It was announced and its details first published on 19 September 1962.
Replacing the MGA in 1962, production of the MGB and its variants continued until 1980. Sales for the MGB, MGC and MGB GT V8 combined totaled 523,836 cars.
At classic car shows up and down the country, you can almost guarantee that there will be a B present. There’s a good reason for that. Aside from it being someone’s pride and joy, the car is affordable, parts are widely available and inexpensive, servicing is straightforward, while the driving experience is well judged for a car intended to offer populist appeal.
This classic MGB roadster is one of the best examples we have seen in quite awhile. The excellent condition original interior is head and shoulders above most others on the market today. It has optional Limited Edition alloy wheels, padded leather steering wheel, front air dam, and stripping that are all part of the LE package. It also has rare optional factory overdrive making high speed touring a breeze. The original owners manual, jack, tonneau cover, and boot cover are included with the sale. An excellent classic MG!
